Chapter 8

Mic's eyes widened as his play floored her. She quickly tried to recover and smirked, "Why would I want something that melts so quickly"

He shook his head and gave Mic a wink, "Jonny melts very slowly baby, verrrrrry slow."

Gia's heart stopped as his eyes moved over her. He had no issues to heal, he had no problems. He was happy, she could feel that, sensed it to her bones. So why was he in her dreams, why did she feel so pulled in his direction?

Unbidden her hand lifted and pressed against his chest, her eyes going wide at the steady heart beat she felt against her palm.

Richie shivered as her hand met his chest, his heart was pounding but more importantly he could feel her pulse, it was drumming in his ears for fuck sakes. Not only was it pounding though him but he could damn near hear the swish swish as it sang in her veins.

The sensation of warmth trickled through his body as an undeniable pull to her called out to him, a call he couldn't resist. He reached up and placed his hand on her cheek, the ache in his mouth waking up and becoming a soft twitter of anticipation.

Mic rolled her eyes as she watched him. He gaze traveled down his body his open shirt revealing a chest full of fur, fur that had the urge to run her hands through it clamouring at her. She quickly repressed the urge as her eyes shot back to his. "Not interested."

Jon tilted his head and studied her intently as his finger traced along her neck down the soft arm to her wrist. Wrapping his fingers lightly around her wrist he grinned. "you’re increased pulse says otherwise Mic."

Mic wriggled out of his grasp as she swigged her beer back in annoyance, he really was just an ass. She glanced back to Gia and watched her and Richie just staring at each other, her hand on his chest and his hand on her palm, why weren’t her charms working? Gia almost seemed like she was on another planet, shit maybe he was brain draining her or something.

She shot a glance over to the girl that had spoken to her at the bar who was staring daggers at her before moving her gaze to Johnny.
"You know there are plenty of other girls who would love your popsicle Jonnny," she purred.

A mega watt smile flashed over his lips, "But its you I wanna get to know baby."

Gia shook her head confused. He had a heartbeat. Shilmulos didn't have heart beats! He was so warm, obviously alive. Dear god what was all this about? What called to her so strongly? She wanted to move her hand away, but it wasn’t obeying her commands. She lifted her beer to her lips and took a quick pull of the icy brew hoping against hope it would calm her.

He watched her, almost calculating something in her mind, the attraction to her was unlike any he'd had before. He had been attracted to girls in the past but this felt different, stronger if possible, it wasn’t just her sex attracting him to her it was something else he couldn’t pin point. "So whatcha do with yourself darlin?" he asked.

Mic flashed a sweet smile back at Jon sarcastically "Lucky me, get me another drink please Jonny." She wanted to keep watching Gia and Richie and this got rid of her suitor for a second.

Gia's tongue rubbed along her dry lower lip before she took a deep breath and managed to pull her hand from Richie’s chest. "I work in a record store actually."

Mic watched as Jonny trotted off to cater for her whim, he was persistent she'd give him that much. There seemed to be so much energy coming from him though, Mic was good at reading energy off people, but he was probably hyped from the concert.

Richie watched her hand pull away from him and his gaze followed it until it rested by her side. He looked back up at her smiling "Great now we know where we can pimp our records," he joked.

Gia glanced around the room and realized they were totally alone with the two men. "The party seems to be over. Maybe we should go?"

Richie looked around knowing that the guys would have chosen their screws for the night and left with them with security kicking out the rest, He watched Jon come back with a bunch of beers in his hands. "Please don't, the night is still very very young, and you and Mic seem like nice girls," he said honestly.

She slipped a step to the side, snagged a beer out of Jon's hand and moved to sit on a couch by the wall, her green gaze watching him as he stood there.

She had to put distance between them, his pounding heart, his very presence was doing strange things to her mentally and physically. She wanted to go, wanted to stay, and had no idea what he wanted at all. Her gaze flickered to Jon and Mic and shook her head as they continued their one up game, before turning her gaze back to Richie.

Mic was relieved to see her friend put some distance between her Richie as Jon came back and handed her the beer, it was her third or was it her fourth as she'd nervously drank one watching the whole Gia Richie thing pan out. Her mind was feeling hazy as she went to move to sit but stumbled falling straight into Jon's arms. "Shit" she muttered.

Jon caught her easily and wrapped his arms around her slender waist. "Woah there baby, little unsteady are we?"

His arms felt so good around her waist or was it just she was buzzing with the alcohol that started to cloud her brain, dammit she knew she shouldn’t have drunk anything she never carried her booze well, ever. She looked up at his eyes and tousled his long blond mane and giggled. "Maybe you are pretty" she said placing her palm to his face slapping it softly.

Richie breathed out and followed Gia to the couch after recomposing himself for a second, the void of her presence felt as she had shifted from him, he followed her to the couch and sat down just leaving a gap between them and gazed over to Jon and Mic and laughed. "Wasn’t she dead set about not being his popsicle earlier?" Richie asked as time had now indeed passed.

Gia winced, "Ahhhuh," she shook her head a bemused expression in her eyes. " I guess she changed her mind."

Jon kept his arm around her and began to walk to the door. "Let me get you someplace a bit more comfy baby." He winked at Richie on the way, his look clearly saying find someplace else to sleep.

Gia watched mortified as Mic walked out giggling on the lead singers arm. Well damn. Now what? She winced and looked over at Richie. "God tell me you two don’t share a hotel room." She knew it though, deep down that that was exactly the situation. Her roommate had displaced him. God fucking damn.

Richie nodded "Afraid so, so looks like I will be sleeping right here," Richie looked around mournfully.

Gia stood swiftly, her heart tightening in her chest. "Well I’m sorry bout that, really." She stuck her hand out to shake his. "It was a pleasure to meet you though."

Richie stared at her hand, her heart beat resounding in his head, radiating back to life in his mind. The force was there again, the mist was stealing into his mind and he knew he couldn’t let it cause them to lose each other again, not this time. He rose from the couch and moved towards her, his eyes locked with hers, a storm brewing in his own. Her soul was calling to him, but to do what? Her neck, that slender beautiful neck with those damn bite marks called to him. In an instant without thinking about it, he felt his teeth tingle and ache as they lengthened.

He noticed Gia's eyes grow wide in shock, but before she could move he'd pinned her against the wall his lips descending to hers in a sweet yet punishing kiss. His hands slid along her sides only to pull her closer as the need for her began to rage beyond his control.

She gasped as he went from sitting to suddenly next to her in the blink of an eye, and his lips, oh god his lips were teasing hers in a way she'd never felt before. When he began to sensually slide his tongue along hers she was lost, her arms wrapping around his waist to hold on.

Her soul screamed at the timing, the place, but she couldn’t pull away from his lips, didn't want too really.

He pulled away from her and ran his hands gently down her sides, his mind tapping into her feelings of where they were, his heart in tune with her desire, and his soul wanting every inch of her. "Want a guest for the night?" he asked softly as his lips teased over her forehead.

She looked up into his eyes and damned herself to hell, a hell that was feeling more like a heaven no matter what he was. Taking his hand she began to walk out of the building towards her car, unable to speak, but driven by a need she didn't understand.
